The PoolRX® Booster is sufficient for a pool up to 10,000 gallons or is needed for pools with gallon capacities greater than 20,000 gallons.
The PoolRx Booster sometimes also called the PoolRX Recharger Unit is used to replace Minerals that are lost through backwash and splash-out. It is also use in conjunction with a PoolRX Unit for pools that are larger than 20,000 gallons.
If your pool is larger than 20,000 gallons you it may require the use of a main unit and a booster. It is important to have the right mineral levels in your pool for the system to be completely effective. The booster is simply placed in the skimmer where the minerals will dissolve completely into the pool. The Minerals do not need to be placed back into the unit.
The PoolRX is an easy to use mineral sanitizer that will greatly reduce the amount of Chlorine needed to maintain an algae free pool. Simply drop the PoolRX in your pump basket, this will ensure the PoolRX unit will get the water flow needed to rejuvenate the minerals.
The PoolRX Unit contains an alloy rod, which is packed with minerals inside of it. The minerals in the middle of the rod dissolve out of the rod and go into the water within 4 to 6 hours. These minerals are rejuvenated when they pass back over the alloy rod during circulation.
The unit needs to be replaced every year. However the minerals are lost through backwash and splash-out and need to be replaced every 6 months with a PoolRX Booster. One unit per 20,000 gallons. If your pool is larger or experiences heavy use or heave contaminants you may want to go with the "Extreme Unit." Otherwise you will need additional boosters or units in order to effectively treat your pool. Free shipping included in the continental U.S.
