As parents of young children with backyard pools, we spent many years researching the market for a pool alarm that actually works. After disappointing results, we came up with the idea of a smart alarm camera system customized for the pool environment. We were motivated by the tragic amount of drownings that occur each year worldwide. The SwamCam system was created to help detect kids entering a pool area unattended with the goal of saving many lives.
