The proper application of Hydrochloric Acid (also known as Muriatic Acid) results in the lowering of overall pH levels and total alkalinity in swimming pool water. Use only as directed.
Always use a testing kit when adjusting pool for correct acid balance. A pH check should be made as often as chlorine check. The pH should be maintained between 7.2 and 7.8. Use approximately one pint per 10,000 gallons if pH is above 8.0. Keep swimmers out of pool until acid is thoroughly dispersed in water.
